Silver prices exhibited sharp volatility during the week of June 15, 2026, swinging between roughly $63 and $71.59 per ounce amid a U.S.-Iran ceasefire announcement on June 14 that initially lifted risk sentiment and prompted dollar softening, followed by pullbacks tied to a 4.2% May CPI print and the first FOMC meeting under Chair Warsh. Persistent structural deficits, with mine supply lagging industrial offtake in solar, electronics, and semiconductors, provided underlying support even as investment flows moderated. Traders are monitoring the gold-silver ratio, Treasury yields, and any follow-through on Middle East de-escalation or Fed guidance on rates for near-term direction.
