**Farage's strong local polling lead in the upcoming Clacton by-election underpins the high trader consensus.** Recent constituency surveys, including a Survation poll of Clacton voters, project him around 73% of the vote on low turnout, well above his 46.2% share from the 2024 general election. With major parties not contesting the seat and a fragmented field of independents and minor candidates, Reform UK faces limited organized opposition, concentrating support in a seat Farage has held since winning it in 2024. This positioning reflects Reform UK's entrenched position in the constituency alongside national trends favoring the party in some areas. The by-election, scheduled for 13 August 2026 following Farage's resignation, is viewed by traders as likely to deliver a substantially higher personal vote share absent major late shifts. Scenarios that could still alter the outcome include unexpectedly high turnout mobilizing opposition voters, last-minute campaign developments, or vote fragmentation among the record 33 candidates that reduces Farage's share below the 2024 baseline, though current evidence points strongly against such reversals.
