This market will resolve according to the median home value for all property types in the San Francisco Metro area on September 30, 2026. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. The resolution source will be official data from the Parcl Labs Sales Price Index for the San Francisco Metro area (Parcl_ID: 2900336). The settlement price will be calculated by multiplying the published price index value (price per square foot) by 1700 square feet, which is the median home size in the San Francisco Metro area. Parcl is set to publish this data on September 30, 2026. If no data for September 30 is released by October 10, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve according to the most recently published data. (see: https://app.parcllabs.com/prediction-market-resolutions/52)**Recent Zillow data place the San Francisco metro typical home value at $1,136,810 through July 2026, up just 1.2% year-over-year and 0.3% month-over-month.** This level sits comfortably below the $1.176 million threshold that commands an 83% market-implied probability, with the next band ($1.176M–$1.198M) at only 15.8%. Modest price momentum, driven by AI-related demand in the broader Bay Area and tight inventory, has produced only incremental gains rather than the acceleration needed to breach the primary cutoff before month-end. Median sale prices in the metro remain in the $1.17 million range, while city-specific figures are higher but do not materially lift the broader metro statistic. With just three weeks until the September 30 observation date and no major economic releases or policy shifts expected to alter housing dynamics sharply, trader consensus reflects the limited scope for rapid appreciation in the near term.
