"A hack" encompasses intentional, malicious activity which caused the power outage.

The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from the governments of Spain or Portugal, or from relevant national grid operators (e.g., Red Eléctrica de España, E-Redes). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.

This market will resolve once official statements from the U.S. government , or a consensus of credible reporting, have clearly confirmed whether the January 14, 2026, outages were caused by an Iranian cyberattack.
