Chicago Cubs lead trader consensus at 51.5% for the 2026 NL Central crown, propelled by their robust farm system featuring top prospects like Cade Horton and Moises Ballesteros, alongside a stabilizing core of Justin Steele, Shota Imanaga, and Pete Crow-Armstrong's breakout potential under Craig Counsell's proven leadership. Milwaukee Brewers hold 26.0% following their 2024 division title, but recent free-agent losses like Willy Adames to San Francisco temper expectations amid rotation questions. Cincinnati Reds (17.5%) and Pittsburgh Pirates (14.0%) gain traction from youthful arms—Hunter Greene, Elly De La Cruz for Reds; Paul Skenes, Jared Jones for Pirates—while St. Louis Cardinals lag at 1.8% amid rebuild signals and 2024 underperformance. Offseason roster tweaks underscore Cubs' long-term edge in win projections.
