Illinois freshman guard Keaton Wagler's breakout NCAA Tournament performance has propelled him to the top of trader consensus at 10% implied probability for Most Outstanding Player, highlighted by his 25-point Elite Eight explosion against Iowa that sent the Fighting Illini to their first Final Four since 2005 and earned him South Region MOP honors. As an underrecruited phenom turned Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-American, Wagler's scoring (17.7 PPG season average), playmaking, and efficiency stand out amid a wide-open field of top freshmen prospects. Duke's Cameron Boozer (0.7%) faded after UConn's upset elimination, while others like BYU's AJ Dybantsa and Arkansas' Darius Acuff Jr. trail due to less dominant team runs or regional exits, emphasizing the need for deep March Madness advancement and standout stats.
