Sal Stewart of the Cincinnati Reds holds a substantial edge in the RBI race, entering mid-September with 107 runs batted in—several ahead of the nearest pursuers—bolstered by a .267/.338/.483 slash line, 31 home runs, and consistent production from the middle of the order. His pace as a 22-year-old rookie, including multiple 100-RBI milestones reached earlier than most historical comparables, has solidified trader consensus around his ability to maintain the lead through the final weeks. Trailing options such as Pete Alonso, Alec Burleson, and Jordan Walker sit in the mid-90s to low-100s, requiring sustained hot streaks and favorable scheduling to close the gap. Stewart’s recent multi-hit efforts and stolen-base contributions further underscore his durability and lineup protection, while the compressed schedule leaves limited runway for dramatic shifts among the broader field.
