This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. If no permanent manager is appointed by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Philadelphia Phillies; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Don Mattingly leads the market at 38% as the Phillies' interim manager following Rob Thomson's April 2026 dismissal after a 9-19 start.** Mattingly's strong results since taking over—highlighted by an early 16-5 stretch and multiple series wins—have elevated his standing for the permanent role. Alex Cora sits at 25.7% despite turning down an earlier offer to prioritize family time, with reports positioning him as a top external candidate for 2027. Other contenders like George Lombard (14.3%), Daniel Descalso (12.1%), and Carlos Beltran (11.0%) reflect interest in internal promotions or experienced voices, while the team's improved form under the current regime shapes trader consensus around continuity versus fresh hires.
