This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. If no permanent manager is appointed by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Philadelphia Phillies; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The Phillies' managerial search for 2027 centers on Dave Dombrowski's established relationship with Alex Cora, whom the president of baseball operations pursued and offered the position to immediately after Cora's April 2026 dismissal from Boston; Cora declined at the time to prioritize family but remains widely viewed as the leading candidate by market participants. Interim skipper Don Mattingly, who replaced Rob Thomson following the team's 9-19 start, has guided a strong turnaround into playoff contention and voiced interest in removing the interim tag, supporting his second-place standing. Other listed names reflect typical external candidates with MLB experience, though none match Cora's direct ties to the front office or the recent performance narrative under Mattingly.
