Diogo Costa holds a narrow edge in the FIFA World Cup most clean sheets market at 47.5% implied probability, but the tight clustering of contenders from 40.5% downward reflects a wide-open race among goalkeepers from defensively organized sides. Portugal’s backline depth and Costa’s recent form give him a slight edge in expected minutes and shutout chances, yet Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois, Morocco’s Yassine Bounou, and several other established starters sit within a few points due to comparable team defensive records and similar projected paths through the group stage. The bunched pricing underscores how tournament variables—opponent strength, number of matches played, and minor roster or tactical shifts—can quickly redistribute clean-sheet opportunities among multiple viable candidates before the knockout rounds begin.
