Mercedes' front-row lockout in qualifying, with Kimi Antonelli on pole ahead of George Russell by just 0.298 seconds, has solidified trader consensus around the teammates for fastest lap at Suzuka. Antonelli's edge stems from topping FP3 (1:29.362) and his second straight pole, showcasing superior single-lap pace on the high-speed Japanese circuit, while Russell led FP1 by a mere 0.026s over his rookie teammate. McLaren's Oscar Piastri (P3) and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc (P4) trail in odds, reflecting Mercedes' practice dominance and tire management potential for late-race pushes on fresh softs, keeping the market competitive as both leaders vie for track position and clean air to chase the bonus point.
