Mercedes teammates Kimi Antonelli and George Russell lead trader consensus for fastest lap at the Japanese Grand Prix with implied probabilities of 30.5% and 26.0%, reflecting their superior single-lap pace across Suzuka sessions—Russell topped FP1 by a mere 0.026s over Antonelli, who dominated FP3 and claimed pole in qualifying with a 1:28.778 lap ahead of Russell's 1:29.076. McLaren's Oscar Piastri, quickest in FP2 at 1:30.133, trails closely at 9.3%, while Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen sit at 10.0% each, buoyed by Ferrari and Red Bull's potential for late-race soft tire pushes on the high-speed layout. The tight Mercedes intra-team duel and McLaren's practice form keep the market competitive ahead of Sunday's race.

If the 2026 F1 Japanese Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after Apr 5, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially credited with the fastest lap in the Final Classification published by the FIA following the conclusion of the race. The fastest lap must be set during the race itself; times from practice sessions, qualifying, or any other sessions are not considered.
If no driver completes a lap during the race (e.g., due to a red flag ending the race prematurely), this market will resolve to "Other."
The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
