West Ham United's emphatic 4-0 home victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on April 10 vaulted them into 17th place on 32 points from 32 games, dropping Tottenham Hotspur into the relegation zone at 18th with 30 points despite a game in hand, tightening the race for the final survival spot. Crystal Palace lead this pack in 14th on 39 points after 30 games, but just five points separate them from Spurs, with Leeds United (15th, 33 pts), Nottingham Forest (16th, 32 pts), and others like Bournemouth (13th, 42 pts) and Newcastle United (12th, 42 pts) vulnerable amid inconsistent form. Spurs' prolonged 2026 winless streak and recent managerial switch to Roberto De Zerbi, coupled with looming six-pointers such as Forest vs. Burnley and Leeds vs. Wolves, underscore the razor-thin margins fueling trader consensus around 45-47% implied probabilities for Forest, Leeds, Palace, and Burnley to claim 17th.
