Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have effectively clinched UEFA Champions League spots for 2026/27 with 73 and 64 points after 28 matchdays, leaving two berths in a fierce table battle among RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart—tied on 53 points but Leipzig ahead on +19 goal difference versus +18—while TSG Hoffenheim (50 pts, +14 GD) and Bayer Leverkusen (49 pts, +19 GD) remain threats with six games left. Leipzig's 5-0 thrashing of Hoffenheim on matchday 27 boosted their standing on superior GD, offsetting Stuttgart's prior 1-0 win over them; Leverkusen's recent draw against Bayern highlights inconsistency. Key upcoming fixtures include Dortmund's trip to Stuttgart, with Germany's coefficient potentially unlocking a fifth UCL place for the top five.
