Sung-Jae Im's record-tying 8-under 63 in Round 1 at Innisbrook's Copperhead Course has propelled him to 40% trader consensus, leading by one over Ze-Cheng Dou's 64, with Seong-Hyeon Kim (65) and Matt Fitzpatrick (T4 at 67) close behind at 19.1%, 17.8%, and 20.6% respectively. This early dominance on the tight, accuracy-testing layout—where Im gained strokes across approach, putting, and short game—drives sentiment, reflecting historical trends where Round 1 leaders win about 20% of Valspar titles. No major injuries or withdrawals among top contenders, but weekend firming conditions and fatigue from recent Florida Swing could test momentum, tempering longshots despite the field's depth.
