Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 23.5% implied probability for IPL 2026 glory, bolstered by their deep retained core including captain Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah—frequent purple cap favorite—and finishers like Naman Dhir and Sherfane Rutherford, positioning them as a balanced T20 powerhouse with historical playoff pedigree. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (13.5%) and Punjab Kings (13.5%) trail closely as competitive challengers; RCB, defending 2025 champions, rely on Virat Kohli's form, new captain Rajat Patidar, and overseas firepower from Phil Salt and Tim David for batting dominance, while PBKS leverage Shreyas Iyer's leadership and their league-high 21 retentions for squad continuity after last year's final heartbreak. Recent captains' announcements and March 25 meeting underscore a wide-open field amid fresh coaching tweaks like Rajasthan's shift to Kumar Sangakkara.
