Trader consensus on Polymarket assigns a 96.8% implied probability that Little Joe the gorilla will not escape again before the July 31, 2026 resolution date. This near-certain positioning stems from the 33-year-old silverback’s reduced physical agility at his advanced age combined with extensive enclosure reinforcements installed at Franklin Park Zoo after his documented 2003 breakout. Public fascination with the story has driven steady media coverage and social-media engagement, yet no recent incidents or credible reports suggest any renewed risk. The market reflects traders’ assessment of hardened security protocols and the animal’s limited mobility as durable barriers against another incident, with only unforeseen external factors such as a major facility failure potentially altering the outlook.
