Kyle Pitts enters Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season with zero receiving touchdowns through four games, totaling just five receptions for 67 yards on nine targets amid limited early snap counts and route participation for the Atlanta Falcons. The 26-year-old tight end signed a three-year, $54 million extension after a 2025 breakout of 88 catches, 928 yards, and five touchdowns, yet the offense under new coordinator Tommy Rees has prioritized Drake London and Bijan Robinson while ranking among the league’s lowest in tight end targets. Michael Penix Jr.’s return from ACL surgery offers a potential boost to the passing game, and coaches have signaled plans to increase Pitts’ involvement, though his red-zone opportunities remain scarce. Historical patterns show his touchdown totals fluctuate with usage and quarterback play, with projections centering near five scores for the full season if route volume rises.
