Florida's 12th congressional district features a Republican partisan voting index of R+7 and projected support levels consistent with a 14-point Trump margin from 2024, positioning the Republican nominee as the clear frontrunner. Incumbent Representative Gus Bilirakis, first elected in 2006 and re-elected with 71 percent in the prior cycle, has filed for another term with only limited primary opposition ahead of the August 18 contest. Democratic primary candidates Christopher Irizarry and Kimberly Overman are still competing for their party's nomination, with the general election set for November 3. Nonpartisan race ratings from Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball classify the seat as solid or likely Republican. Recent redistricting approved in May 2026 preserved the district's existing tilt without altering the underlying electoral math.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.

If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
