Flavio Bolsonaro maintains a commanding lead in São Paulo first-round polling for the October 4 presidential vote, with recent surveys from Futura and Quaest showing him at 31–37% against Lula’s 30–33%, often within the margin of error but numerically ahead. As the largest electoral college, São Paulo amplifies the impact of right-leaning consolidation behind the PL nominee following his July convention and August campaign launch. Fragmented support for other candidates—including Augusto Cury, Ronaldo Caiado, and Renan Santos, who register in the low single digits—further concentrates preferences. National trends and state-specific data have reinforced trader consensus on these probabilities, with limited recent developments altering the positioning ahead of scheduled debates and free airtime.
